Michael Roth brings a unique path to real estate development, beginning with a seven-year career as a professional baseball pitcher with organizations including the Los Angeles Angels, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants, Tampa Bay Rays, and Chicago Cubs. During his time on the road, he developed an interest in real estate — drawn to the idea of creating lasting places while living out his childhood dream of playing baseball.
After retiring in 2018, Michael returned to Greenville and joined NAI Earle Furman as a broker. He gained early experience in retail leasing and investment sales, but quickly gravitated toward development — working with clients to identify opportunities and navigate complex deals. At NAI, he met Michael Short, and the two began collaborating on projects that blended Roth’s vision for deal-making with Short’s builder’s eye for execution. That partnership became TMC Development.
Today, Michael focuses on structuring deals, uncovering new opportunities, and pushing projects forward with a belief that every challenge has a solution. He lives in Greenville with his wife, Rachel, and their two children.
